08.03.03: Lady of the Fae

"It is thought that tall trees attract the inexplicable"

27/30 - Overall Design:
At first glance, the only thing that irked me was that you had the table set squarely in the middle of the page on a 1024x768 resolution -- instead of just centering the table. I was thinking that maybe it was because you had a page background image that required it to be positioned in such a way, but I checked your source and this isn't true, you smarty pants, you know how to use table background images, so no excuse for this silly non-centeredness. In all seriousness, though, it's simply a matter of personal preference, but it would certainly make life a teensy bit easier for the little resolutions out there. I mean, I know they are inferior, and everything, and damn them for being able to read the tiny text, but throw those kids a bone, eh?

15/20 - Functional:
Of course it's functional. Except... I really really hate inline scrolls. Hate. I simply don't see the point in them, but for this layout they are necessary. I still hate them, though, and I think that a clever designer can learn to work around them. Reach for the stars, girly.

9/10 - Aesthetic:
My eyes are entertained. This is a gorgeous layout. The colors are wonderful, and so well put together. Green is my favorite color, by the by. The only aesthetic complaint I have, is regarding your navigation table. The background image is slightly smaller in width than your entry table. Instead of altering the graphic, make the entry table a few pixels smaller. Two or four should do it perfectly.

20/20 - Navigation:
Easy as pie, and we all know how easy pie is. Everything works, everything is organized. If you think about it, you kind of have to wonder how someone could mess up links on diary land... but somehow, they manage to, which is why I created this category. Anyway, no embarrassing errors or anything, so no fear.

10/10 - Originality:
Very. It's a beautiful layout. Be proud. In fact, pat yourself on the back. No, seriously. Do it. Doooo it. You know you want to. You'll like it, trust me. Just try it. There you go, that was nice, wasn't it?

9/10 - Browser Compatible:
I'm not entirely sure if this is a browser issue or not, but I did run into some pages where the inline scroll did not work. I checked your source (not very thoroughly, cos I'm tired), and it could be because of your paragraph alignment -- you end the tag before you end the entry, or I could be talking out of my bum. Check it out and see if you can fix it.
