15/30 - Overall Design:
What is so wrong with using a background image? Why are people so dead set against that? Is it because it looks better on more browsers? Is it because then more people can read their text? It's a mystery!
10/20 - Functional:
When I can actually make this layout work, it shows up very differently than you intended it to. Usually, it's impossible to click links, or scroll through your text.
9/10 - Aesthetic:
I like the image, it's cute. It looks best on 800x600 resolutions. One thing you should take the time to look into is web-safe fonts. Century Gothic is not one of them.
20/20 - Navigation:
I'm giving you full points, because all of your links work... even if they don't work in my browser. You have some über cute little extras in a drop down menu (including tarot), in addition to the standard text links.
10/10 - Originality:
This is a very original layout, and I like it a lot. From what I can see, it matches your diary very well.
5/10 - Browser Compatible:
Not... really. Oh, how I wish it were... but it's not. If you make your image a background image, and use tables to align your links and text, it will look so much better, and be that much more accessible to everyone.
